Peter Trueman

Peter Trueman drives large scale capital works that reduce pollution (“green capital”) and development / construction enterprises. For the past 2 years, Peter has provided contract and consulting leadership and support to renewable energy, mining, transport companies and government agencies. Peter remains a Senior Advisor to McKinsey & Co’s global capital excellence practice after working in the capital excellence practice from 2018 to 2022.​

In 2022 and 23, Peter led Sea the Future, a not for profit enterprise that aimed to get plastics out of the environment and into the economy through unblocking, accelerating and scaling plastic recycling globally. Reducing ocean plastics remains a passion of Peter’s and Bluewater’s and Peter’s key focus as a board member at Surfrider Foundation Australia. Peter also actively supports tree planting and forest protection charities.

Peter’s career has been in the development of major capital projects as well as in managing and leading development, construction and consulting businesses. He has been Project Director for Northconnex, a $3 billion road tunnel, Circular Quay’s Overseas Passenger Terminal redevelopment, General Manager of Transport Infrastructure at John Holland Group. For 15 years, Peter provided impact consulting services to government, contractors, developers and mining companies at Evans & Peck, while progressively taking more leadership responsibilities, as  Principal and corporate leader of the NSW branch, business growth and corporate services.

Peter is a civil engineer (USyd, BE - Hons Class 1) with an MBA (MBS) and computer science degree (USyd).
